What did I work on most?
The idea is to understand where your attention went, connecting tasks and repositories with completed work, code changes and recorded time across three views.
- Today
- This week
- This month
Keep the measures distinct.
- Work done
- Tasks completed and outcomes delivered. A completion timestamp records when a task was completed, not how long it took.
- Commits
- Commits and lines changed describe code activity. Commit count is not effort, and lines changed do not measure time spent.
- Time
- Recorded time spent on tasks and repositories. Time tracking is not implemented. Missing time must remain unknown, never estimated from commits or completions.
Connect work to code.
Tasks can now link to one or more repositories in Add/Edit. Eventually, connect each task to specific code changes and commits as well.
Proposed graphs and charts should show where most recorded time went across tasks, repositories and projects for Today, This week and This month. Show completed outcomes and code activity alongside time as separate measures.
Commit links and time tracking are still future work. Show unlinked work and missing time explicitly; a task linked to several repositories must not double-count its time.
